Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Corporate Name ?
My family at one point incorporated a our family company name in New York State in the early 90's but the company has been inactive since than. I wanted to restart the incorporated company. When I was doing my research I ran across another company that is not just using the company name but also using the company name in the website as well. This company is a large multi million dollar company. And I am a small business in the re startup mode. My company was incorporated in New York 5 years prior to the incorporation to the company in question. What are my legal rights regarding this matter ?

Re: Corporate Name ?
If the corporate name was abandoned, then your rights are limited. If the corporation using the name is violating a trademark that you own and control then you have additional actions that can be taken on your end.
