Dissolved Corp. in one state want to reopen in New State

I had a business in Massachusetts that I ended up owing a few creditors money at the end mostly utility company. ie phone, electric, yellow page...

The corp. was dissolve in 1998 by the state of Massachusetts I now am moving to New York and want to open my business in New york can I form a Corp in New york under the same name and not worry about the past creditors coming after me under the New York Corporation? Thank You.

Yes. You can open a new corporation in New York. I would also suggest getting a separate TIN number for the new entity.

Yes. Speak with your accountand first though about what type of "entity" that you want the lawyer to prepare...Corp. Sub-S/C Corp.--LLC. Then file an SS4 for a TIN/EIN for that entity,
