Legal Question in Business Law in New York
employer liability
If a company processes the payroll for a smaller sister company, will they be liable if an employee sues the sister company for any reason. Meaning, the employees payroll check is cut from the larger company but is not an employee of that company. I was wondering if the larger company is putting themselves at some unncessary risk.

Re: employer liability
The answer to this one is it depends, the more connections there are betweeon one company to the other the better chance that there may be a suit against them as well...
this however is a particularly tough question to answer with such limited information.
