Legal Question in Business Law in New York
My father died in Dec. 2005. His estate was dispersed and closed in early 2006. In late 2008, someone was injured on a property he was supposedly indemnifying for the new owner. (An Indemnity Agreement was signed back in 1973 according to the owner.) No one in our family ever heard of this agreement. Can this owner go after me or my brother, even though my father's estate has been long closed and dispersed.
