How To File LLC forms

Once I have filled out forms to create an LLC, where and how do I submit them, and what are the filing fees?

If you are forming a New York LLC, you can find information related to formation at the Department of State website (www.dos.state.ny.us). You must also visit the IRS (www.irs.gov) and NYS Dept of Taxation and Finance (www.tax.state.ny.us) websites to make sure that you are in full tax reporting and filing requirements.

If you go to the New York Department of State website, you can get the information and may even be able to file on line. You will also need to get a tax identification number, after the LLC is formed, which can be done on line at the IRS website (Form SS-4).
