Legal Question in Business Law in New York
which form?
The business I own filed a suit against another business for non payment for services rendered and won by default. We have a court judgment in our favor. We have attempted collection to no avail. We attempted to serve the bank directly with a notice to garnish by local law enforcement, however the bank responded with ''no attachable accounts'' for the business. We have been advised to request the business disclose their financial info to us so as to properly serve for recovery. What form in NY state do we need to do this?

Re: which form?
You have to commence an action to enforce the judgment.
Re: which form?
The form is called an "information subpoena" which includes a questionnaire that is to be filled out by the debtor. Failure to respond to a properly served subpoena could result in a finding of contempt of court.
Re: which form?
You can really spin your wheels trying to collect on an award. A collections attorney, which I am not, would do the work for a relatively small percentage and leave you to focus on making money.
