Legal Question in Business Law in New York

My husband owms a corperation, only in his name, and in Feb. he had a brain anurism and he has severe brain damage. When I talked to his lawyer he said he couldn't help me only my husband, also that the property's are protected by a corperate shield. What does that mean? Every thing is in my husbands name. The family is fighting me in every thing.

If you had a power of attorney you can act in the place of your husband. If you do not have a POA, you would have to commence an Article 81 proceeding to be appointed guardian for your husband.

Any attorney will say a review of all facts, documents, etc. is required. After that, a personal consultation is needed. This is not a simple bulletin board type question. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
