Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Incorporation

I have several websites I manage which only generate advertising revenue now. I also have a few ideas for small scale consumer products. Can I incorporate and have all of my sites and other ventures under on umbrella?

Re: Incorporation

You can and probably should incorporate for several reasons, including limiting your personal liability for the debts of and claims (at least of contractual nature) against your business. You can do it yourself by going to

http://www.dos.state.ny.us/corp/corpwww.html or you can retain a business lawyer to advise you and prepare and file the documents. Your choice will probably be between a corporation (subchapter S) and a limited liability company. Contact a corporate attorney to get advice for what is best for you.

The above reply is in the nature of general information, is not legal advice and should not be relied on as such.
