Legal Question in Business Law in New York
In July 18 2014 I bought my business which is a laundromat in the Bronx . This issue that I'm having is due to the department of building certificate of occupancy. When I bought the laundromat all license was up to date, but when I try to apply for my license a issue came up due to a group code that The Department of consumer affairs and licenses required. The previous owner was licensed under the consumer affairs. All document from the point of view was fine until I try to get my license. I'm tired of dealing with all the issues I'm having and the seller is up to date on what going on but I would just like to get my money back from the seller what are my step in filing a complaint I have one years dealing with this just can no more I'm losing money I will appreciate any help
Thank you

Mr. Rodriguez,
The first step to see if you can demand damages from the seller and/or even rescind the sale all together would be to review the buy-sell agreement you had with the seller. If you don't have such an agreement then you could claim damages on various common law and statutory causes of actions.
The documents and exact circumstances need to be reviewed by a business attorney. I can offer such review at low cost to see what could be your options. Please contact me directly.
