Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Landscape bill 2 years old
I had a fall clean up done by a landscaper in 2005,I contacted him several times for the bill with no response,I finally get the bill 9/9/2007and it's instead of the $500 we verbally agreed upon it's over $800. Do I have any recourse? Is there a statute of limitation?

An oral agreement is binding in New York. The statute of limitations is 6 years. You should pay him the $500 and have him sign a paper saying that receipt of the funds constitutes payment in full.
