How do you legally remove a board member from a for profit business.

Any attorney will advise you to consult your corporate bylaws. Normally there is an annual shareholders meeting where, among other things, board members are elected. If the board member is doing something wrong or harmful, there may be a way to accelerate removal. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
