Legal Question in Business Law in New York
What licenses do I need to get to open a foreign currency money exchange place in NYC ?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Although New York does not have a specific license for currency exchange bureau, there are licenses that are required in order to facilitate certain transactions that you will likely be conducting such as processing coins. cashing traveler checks and possibly receiving and transmitting money.
Your intended activities need to be examined in order to determine whether you need a license and then what type of license.
