Legal Question in Business Law in New York
I have a lien from a judgement for a loan I got for my business 4 years ago. I have a closing soon for my house that I' am about to sell. How can i settle this judgement before the closing so the debtors don't add as much as they can squeeze out since we will receive the equity.

I would have a savvy attorney contact the creditor to settle the account. I believe they may be able to provide you with a better settlement than you can on your own. Do not pay much for the service; otherwise you will defeat the whole purpose. Try to obtain a reference from a friend or family member or an attorney you may have worked with before; otherwise you may contact me.
