Is it illegal to modify a product that has been bought from a foreign market and selling it with my business logo

That depends. I can see many ways in which this activity could violate US law, but it is possible that you may be able to do this without violating the law, too.
Bottom line: Call your local intellectual property attorney (there are many in your area or close to your area) and schedule a sit-down meeting with this person. Tell him/her specifically what you are thinking of doing. Follow his/her advice.
