Partner - payment owed
my husband was in busness -had a partner. partner did the accounting end of busness. He didn't pay taxes- government came after him he took a mortage on our hometo pay in 2001 . his partner said he would pay half when he sold the home that wa his but in his fathers nme .sometine in 2005-6 he sold home but did not keep promise .my husband made attempts to meeet with him but he would make appointments & not show up .my husband hadf a heart attach & passed away in 2007 dec- i tryed to get in touch with his partner -also the tax dept .tax dept would not give me information .(i have all receipts )but wanted their print out.the partner said he paid some money to them but my records state my husband paid it all.Is there any legal corse I can take or is it tooo late ? & would i be throwing money that i need to survive , away on a small or no chance of the law being on my side?I'am stuke with a morgage that my salary can not pay .

The reason you're not getting any response to your question is that we don't understand it; the wording is very confusing because your pronouns "he" "him" and "his" can, at any one instance, apply to either your husband or the partner. If we don't know whom you're talking about, we can't respond appropriately.
Please resubmit your question, and do NOT use the words "he", "him" or "his" anywhere in your text; spell out "my husband" or "the partner" at every occurrence. You can copy and paste the question and just replace those words with the name ("husband" or "partner") of the person you mean. I know this is a pain, but it will help the attorneys on this board, who are not mind-readers, to understand your story and respond appropriately.
Understand that the appropriate answer may very well be that you need to speak with an attorney.
