Is it legal for my employer to disclose personal info such as social security # and other simalar items to a potetial customer without my knowledge or consent?

No. Your employer could be exposing you to the risk of identity theft. In addition, depending on the actual personal information disclosed, he/she could be violating certain federal or state laws, such as HIPPA.
