Can i use product and company names in an ebook im publishing?
Thank you for reading my question. I wrote an ebook on high blood pressure, that i am publishing soon online. In it i recommended seven companies and products that help high blood pressure. I wrote all positive things about these companies and products.
My question is, do i have to ask permission from each of these companies to list their product and name in my electronic book publication. I also will be publishing my book in print also in a few months. Would i need permission to use the company and product names for this also?
Is there anywhere online i could find information on this also?

If you are writing a review of products and your views of them, then you are free to do so. However, it would be wiser to communicate with the companies and let them know what you are doing and ask them if they wish to contribute to the advertising of your e-book!! Our firm is available to review arrangements with those companies in the event that they propose a contract.

If your reference to the company and the products are as reviews, or critiques there is no need to contact the companies. as long as the issue is one of "newsworthiness" there is no need to gain permission to talk about the product.
If your reference to the products is as advertisements for your own purposes you need their permission.
