Product Return Guarentee

I sold a GPS unit over the internet for a free trail of 30 days. what form if any do I use for the buyer to sign stating he will return the unit undamaged after the 30 days. I'd be out $599.00 if the buyer keeps the unit without buying or returning it. Buyer lives in Maryland. Please advise

Regards

Re: Product Return Guarentee

You would need a contract wherein Buyer agrees to pay $$$ for the item (whatever price you charged him for it) and you agree to refund his money (or some large portion thereof) if he returns the item to you undamaged within x days of shipment. If you want, you can document receipt date and let him have x days from date of receipt. The USPostal Service has a relatively cheap delivery confirmation system.

If you have not already shipped the item, get this BEFORE you do. Also, get the money for the item and put it into escrow before you ship. You can refund later if he returns the item. Your attorney may be able to help you out by holding the $$$ pending Buyer's timely return of the item.

Good luck.
