Legal Question in Business Law in New York
I purchased an items on the internet for $650.00. I live in MA and the seller lives in NY (their bricks and mortar retail location). The sellers uses a processing agent which had it's assets frozen by the government. The money was taken out of my bank account by electronic check. The seller has obtained a new processing agent and is conducting business. The seller said I will have to wait until the government returns the money (they are supposedly getting a lawyer) to get a refund. Isn't the seller ultimately responsible to the buyer (and the processing agent ultimately responsible to the seller)?
