Legal Question in Business Law in New York
I purchased a puppy from a pet store. She was sick with parvo and this was determined 5 days of having her. I know the NYS law states I can have the dog treated & get reimbursed for vet expenses. The store agreed however, they asked me to sign a general release. I refused. Are they still required to reimburse me if I don't sign the release? Also I paid $500 more in vet bills than the price of the dog. I know the law states I can get reimbursed up to the purchase price. I assume I can't sue for the $500? Thanks
