Legal Question in Business Law in New York

What is a reasonable hourly rate for a web startup attorney? (In the state of NY)

I'm basically looking for the following:

A) Form LLC or incorporate - need advice on which to do + file the paperwork (which isn't much from what I hear)

B) Draft of Merchant Agreement, Site Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy

I recieved a proposal in the form of hourly rate as opposed to a per project base so I was completely thrown off.

I generally handle the LLC filings on a flat fee basis (remember that the State of New York has its own fees, which are above mine).

The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are generally quick drafting - modifying terms used on previous sites. The merchant agreement similarly has to be tailored to fit your site. But they'd be done on an hourly basis.

Feel free to get in touch.

I agree with David. Forming an LLC or a corporation is generally done on a flat fee. Since I do not know exactly what you want in terms of agreements, this is generally drafted on an hourly rate.

Mike.
