Recived Counterfit Check
I recived a counterfit check from a business in nigeria for payment but did not send any parts to the person just deposited the check to make sure it cleared and when the bank found out it was counterfit thay closed our account thus stopping our business.my question is can thay close our account becuse of this no money was drawn from the check it just sat at the bank.and do i have any way to recive any kind of comp from the bank for causing our business to come to a stop.

Sounds like you almost fell victim to the infamous Nigerian oil scam emails that have been going around. I'd visit fbi.gov and get in contact with them to give them all of the details. As to your bank, you should check your Depositor's Agreement and contact your State's Department of Banking if you want to file a complaint.
