Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Removing A Post From A Forum?
We would like to have some negative postings of our company removed from some forums. These posts were made while the company was under previous ownership. Now, that we have purchased the company, we are looking to clean up our reputation, and remove the negative posts, of which many are very old (2002 and older). Is there a legal way to do this, or a way to contact the webmasters, and have them remove these posts?

Re: Removing A Post From A Forum?
Start nice: contact the webmaster of the forum, explain the circumstances, and ask to have the postings removed. There should be a link somewhere on the forum's webpage to contact the webmaster.
If that doesn't work (and it may not), then you should consider hiring an attorney to help you through this matter.
Good luck.
