Legal Question in Business Law in New York
We own a small engine business in upstate ny. Recently we had a customer authorize repairs of $146 on a snowblower and when we attempted to deliver it at HIS request, He wasn't there and now refuses to pay. we still have the snowblower, and just want to get payed. what is the procedure for obtaining possesion of the property? we want to sell the blower for the cost of repairs and can we charge storage after a # of days? We offer Free pickup & delivery. We sent him a certified letter to notify him of our intent to collect and policy of storage but he refused the letter. thank you

Your county or town small claims court is the perfect place for this. Add a daily storage fee and the cost of the cetified postage to your claim and file it.
