Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Subcontractor Payments

I work as a subcontractor marine mechanic and I am incorporated. The company I have worked with has defaulted on payments for jobs over 90 days. Unfortunately we do not have in writing any specifications on payment timeframes. Is there anything legal that could help me in obtaining my payments for work already completed?

Yes there are several options that are available to you, including filing a lawsuit or a mechanic's lien. A contract is not required to necessarily be in writing. This area of law is our specialty, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
