Legal Question in Business Law in New York

undeclared employment-firing-off the books work

DO i have any rights working for a company for a year undeclared(off the books) and 2 days notice of firing?(fri 21st of dec last day!!)

Can I pursue unemployment?

Should a specific organization know that this company has 90% full time workers off the books?

Re: undeclared employment-firing-off the books work

IF YOU WERE PAID IN CASH, YOU MAY HAVE NO RECOURSE, ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU PROBABLY WILL NOT DECLARE YOUR INCOME. BOTH PAYMENT OFF THE BOOKS AND FAILURE TO REPORT THE INCOME ARE ILLEGAL AND MAY EVEN CONSTITUTE TAX EVASION. YOU CAN REPORT THIS TO THE STATE LABOR DEPARTMENT AND IRS, AND I SUGGEST YOU REPORT ALL INCOME TO AVOID ANY PERSONAL PROBLEMS. THIS IS A RESPONSE TO AN INTERNET QUESTION AND THE REPLY IS NOT INTENDED TO CONSTITUTE LEGAL ADVICE OR TO CREATE AN ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP.
