Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Unsigned contract
I started a consultant job, after being unemployed for 10 months, for my previous employer. I had a previous employment contract which my employer stated was voided by my collecting unemployment. My employer and I disagreed on my current pay rate, so I didn't sign the current employment contract. I have been working for a month now without a signed contract and was wondering if I am bound by it if I decide to pursue other options.

Re: Unsigned contract
I cannot tell without reading the former contract. Had you made any agreements that outlasted the document, like a covenant not to compete? If you want to fax me a copy of the contract I can reply better. Fax number is 973-377-8167.
