Legal Question in Business Law in New York
I have been working at my job for 1 year (today to be exact). I was told that when my managers do my anual review to decide how much my raise will be, I will not be paid the retro pay even though the review is being completed after my hire date. My manager said that this is because I was on maternity leave and did not work a full year. I don't understand what maternity leave has to do with being paid retro pay for a raise that Im not going to receive on time

If you can, get them to document in your personnel file why your raise was less than expected. Get a copy "for your records." Then see a lawyer who handles sex discrimination cases. Get happy, you may have hit a decent recovery.
