age
How old do you have to be to move out of your parents house legally i was told 16 but my friend hillary wants to move out and shes 16 years old shes not having that much of a good time right now with her parents considering that there very strict... i was just wandering what the legall age was

Re: age of emancipation
In New York the age of emancipation is currently 21,
and the only way to move out at that age is if you join the armed forces. I'm not sure how it works.
I've never heard of it at 16, more in the area of 17 and 18.
