Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
Last May, I was arrested in NYC due to a work related incident. I feel that my rights were violated by my former employer and by the NYPD. Unfortunately, the court-appointed lawyer I was given didn't seem too keen on hearing my side of what was going on and I have been forced to take a plea that if my rights were upheld, I wouldn't have to. My question would be, can I file a civil suit against both my former employer and the NYPD?
