Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
i am having a bad time financially and a friend offered me a place to stay things did not work out, i was not able to get my things out within 24 hours and he threw all my stuff out is this legal in new york? can i sue him?

Yes, you can sue for wrongful eviction (among other things) and the value of the times thrown out.
