Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

discrimination lawsuit

We are a group of four employees sauing our employer for race and color discrimination.

Can we ask for our dipostion as the employer lawer did not request it so we can enter our answers to the employer claim that there was no discrimination before trail and have our defending statment in the court records before the trail.

Your lawyer probably did not request a copy of the transcript because there was nothing in the deposition that need preservation for trial and because ordering just to have a copy is a waste of expense. Moreover, you are more likely to hurt your case if you order a copy of the transcript and make statements to others without your lawyers knowledge and consent.
