Locksley Wade
Law Office of Locksley O. Wade
Such a dispute -if a court action is necessary and depending on the State where the dispute occurred- could be brought in either NY or IL state court; and if so, the defendant could move the suit to a federal court sitting in the State where the action is brought on what is called jurisdiction based on diversity of citizenship (aka residency).
