Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Ebay Suspension

Last year I was suspended from selling on ebay because I used the word VIAGRA in an ad comparing it to a product I was selling. It was one offense but, since I listed it multiple times, it was multiple offenses and I was suspended. My wife opened an account and it was active for a year. Recently ebay discovered that it was ''related'' to the suspended account and suspended it, also, indefinitely. I wrote to ebay many times explaining that I used it to supplement since losing my job to 9/11. I also told them that I am diabetic and have trouble walking and may not be able to work a regular job for long - so I would sell on ebay building a business. They said NO. They said to be reinstated I have to fax personal info - utility bill, license, etc...also agree to follow policies. I did this. They still refuse to reinstate my account. Since the initial offense was multiplied by the number of auctions I ran, it is like being punished multiple times for the same crime. Is there anything that can be done legally to get ebay to reinstate my selling account?

Re: Ebay Suspension

There is always something that can be done, but in this case, if EBAY is unwilling to voluntarily

accept you back, it will involve litigation, which involves legal fees. If you are interested in pursuing this, email me additional information. I can tell you are on Long Island by your zip code.
