Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Employer will now pay health bills

I worked for this retail store in NYC for 9 months. At my first day my employer promised health reimbursement. She even put a new ad for new employees writing in down. I went to the emergency room and she paid one out of the two bills. When I found a different job I decided to leave and gave her 2 weeks notice. Meanwhile I sent her 2 emails requesting her to pay the second bill and she didnt reply. Meanwhile I am doing the payments on the second bill and that is after she promised us health insurance after 3 months and other benefits we never received.

Can I do something about the bill that was not paid?

Thanks!

Re: Employer will now pay health bills

If I understand you correctly, you worked for a retail store in NYC for 9 months and on the first day your employer agreed to give you health reimbursement. What does "She even put a new ad for new employees writing in down" mean? When did you go to the ER-how much time after you started working there. Did you give the bills to your boss and she paid one or did the hospital send her the bills? Is this through Health Insurance? How big a retail store is this? How many employees? How much after you began working there did you find a different job, leave and give her 2 weeks notice. How much was the second bill that you are making payments on? If she promised you health insurance after 3 months and other benefits you never received what is the reimbursement?
