Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Expiration To Appeal

My opposition, after a number of denials by a number of judges for a summary judgement, finally won their appeal for a summary judgement of my case Oct.26,2004 in NYC/State Court. Do I have 2 years to appeal this ruling or is it to my advantage to put it back in Federal Court where it was registered originally but for some reason moved to state court by my former attorney?

Thank you for your help.

Re: Expiration To Appeal

In New York many different time periods affect the time and ability to appeal. The most important is that you file a notice of appeal within thirty days of the order or judgment being sevred with notice of entry.

The rest depends on what stage your case is at in which level court.

The rest of your question has insufficient info to respond.
