Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

false arrest / civil rights / malicious prosecution

I am a nurse who worked at a dept of corrections medical clinic. I was imprisoned beyond my belief, after trying to enter the building with a box cutting tool. I did not hide it. I shopwed it ti the officer first. I was detained against my will (kidnapped)..not allowed a phone call or calls, no food or water for 6 hours. I worked there almost 3 years , an impeccable reputation and work ethich beyond question, ..many at the facility will testify. Noone could believe this officer who was new and did not know me...acted out of prejudice, ignorance and avarice. Even the warden and clinic captain said this never should have jh happened..they were not there that day

Re: false arrest / civil rights / malicious prosecution

Generally in order to prove false arrest you would have to show that you were held for an extroardinarily long period of time, with no means of leaving, and this holding was improper under law. This is the very basic standard which you would have to mee, sounds like you might be able to meet it as well.
