Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Good Will Camping

In December 2004, I was detained by TSA while the police were called to interpret my intentions for possession of a knife. I had all of my camping gear with me and had forgotten I had a knife in my bag. In addition to the $400 TSA civil fine imposed upon me, I was also issued a summons to return to NY for criminal court. Now found not guilty under the provisions plainly written in the law allowing travel with such a tool, do I have a case against the state for false arrest? I'm looking to recoupe lost wages, attorney costs, travel costs for my multiple returns for court, research time spent, etc. All together only about 7K, but that is a large sum for me to lose just for being an innocent citizen of this nation. Advice?
