Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
I was highered to work in a market as a cashier.
I was informed that my cashier training would be for three days
starting on the 28th. I also told my manager that I wont be reached
on my home phone much but thats why she should call my cellphone, which I have
on me all the time if she needed to talk to me.
But then a week before my training She called and left a message on my home
phone stating that i was suppose to come work. I didn't know and She never called
my cellphone and now i might be fired from a job i never worked in.
Can my manager do that?

The manager can and did do that. I do not see a legal violation here.
