Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
My husband and I split up and I moved from FL. to NY, after 2 months I went back to our home to try and make things work. I ended up trying to commit suicide, I was Baker Acted, when I got out my husband changed the locks on our home, gave me a ticket back to NY, and 2 suitcases, and no money. Can he do this without a court order? He has since hired a divorce lawyer who told him he could, as did the Sheriff? What legal recourse if any do I have?
