Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

ive been a ward of the state since the age of three and ive been in many any different foster homes and group homes throughout my childhood. every different form of abuse and neglect took place under the states care. i was beaten many different times suffered sexual abuse at the age of three and almost died of malnutrition at the age of 7. i have paperwork and documents and pictures to prove evrything but i am 22 years old now and i was too intimidated to ever follow through with anything up until now and ive never had an advocate or anybody to help me with this case and im wondering if im past the statute of limitations

It may not be too late for you to bring an action for your injury; however, a final determination on whether you have a claim should be discussed with an attorney that is familiar with civil rights claims. Best wishes.
