Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
lawyer
is it legal for one lawyer to represent the plantiff and defendant?
the town lawyer is trying to tell us he can listen to our case of the town against us, and give us an unbiassed opinion.
the town is pushing this because they want us off our own land. they said our permit ran out and will not give us an extention.
Any suggestions?

You should not seek advice from someone who represents a party against your own interest.
