Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Is it Legal to take photos at work?

Is it illegal to take pictures of people i work with? not for profit or any type of advertising. while at work sevaral of my co workers and myself have been given discipline for things that other people do with out recourse. the people that get away with things continually are the supervisor's ''favorites''. this issue has been brought up many times with HR and anther supervisor. but being we are in a remote area (bus garage) and HR is 15 miles away, there is really no way for us to prove what is going on. would it be illegal for us to take some photos of the supervisor and the other employees doing the exact things the rest of our jobs are in jeopardy over? thanks for your time.

Does your company have a policy book? Does it specifically say you cannot take pictures? Would this be on breaks and on your own time?? I think you and your friends need the help of an area labor lawyer.

Good Luck.
