Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Minors drinking

My sons friends and my daughters friends came over to the beach near my home to have a beach party afterwards came to my house with a little firewood going. kids got into my garage frigde and took some beer without me knowing.cops came and surrounded the kids in all three directions from the backyard.me and husband were watching the jet/giant football game. cops yelled at us and insisted on who gave beer to kids.husband told them they must have snuck it out of fridge that was in garage.we keep extra stuff in fridge for barabeques and family coming over. cops also questioned kids without parent consent since they were all 16yrs old. some kids did admit to cops that they drank a beer. kids also told cops that they were willing to take breath test to prove they werent drinking and cops said it will cost $30 to take test so kids didnt do it. cops made kids call parents to get them.we are hit with enlawful act with minors.wat are our rights and what is your advise.

Get a criminal defense lawyer . . . fast. You are likely to face a severe civil penalty or perhaps a criminal misdemeanor. Do not be penny wise and pound-foolish by pleading guilty or representing yourself in court.
