Missed 3 Dates for Jury Duty

I received a summons stating that I am being charged for non-compliance to jury duty on 3 different dates. All I want to know is am I going to jail or will I be fined. I didn't intentionally not go to jury duty.

Re: Missed 3 Dates for Jury Duty

Get thee to a Lawyer. Hire the Bar Association President in your county or someone who has some experience in court and in other areas. He or she will best be able to discuss this with the jury commissioner. There is rarely a good excuse for missing jury duty without an excused absence. You must at least answer the summonses. If you do have one of the real acceptable reasons for missing your dates, the lawyer will probably be best to present these facts. If your case is boderline then the attorney's crediblity will help your cause. Finally if you have nothing, maybe he or she can best cajole you a chance to stay out of jail or to avoid a big fine.

Good luck.
