Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Pending auto accident lawsuit

My father was recently injured in an auto accident. His doctor suggested that he sue and provided him with a name of an attorney. Recently my father (senior citizen) has been having several health problems (not related to the accident) and wants to drop the suit, however he is afraid that his attorney will charge him for handling the case up to now although he is only suppose to collect a percentage of the money if they win the case. Can he get out of the lawsuit if he wishes without having to worry about paying any fees to his lawyer? I fear for his health if he has to continue..

Thanks for your time

Re: Pending auto accident lawsuit

He should discuss his concerns with his lawyer, I imagine your father will be able to work out a reasonable accomodation with all concerned.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can call my office to schedule an appointment for a consultation or in the alternative, I can be reached for on-phone low-cost legal consultation at 1-800-275-5336 x0233699.
