Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
What Can I Do
Just recently I was fined for dumping, in doing so I was called by the police and asked to pick up a ticket. I picked the ticket up and now have to appear in court to pay a small fine. To my knowledge my name was used in the local paper, explaining what I had done, I'm assuming my name was given out by the police to the woman who's property the dumping occured, resulting in her telling the paper. My question is this, do I have the right to do anything about my name being given out to the paper without my permission?
