Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Report that person is in contempt of court

I won a judgementn in small claims court and when defendant ignored request to pay me, I sent Information Subpoena to company who does business with them. They have ignored my Subpoena. How do I report this to the Judge? I am told there is no such form and I must draw up legal papers. How do I do this and how do I present to a Judge. If you cannot reply, can you supply an 800 number of free legal advice. Thank you. I am not sure of what ''area of Law'' to click on.

Re-send the subpoena. If you have an old or cancelled check from the debtor, send the information subpoena to their bank. Banks have compliance departments to handle these inquiries. If they own a home, you can probably find out who holds their mortgage note, and send a subpoena to their mortgage company.

Keep trying. This is out of the judge's hands. Judges don't help you collect.

Good luck!
