Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
Are my rights being violated at work?
My company has very strict dress code policies, which includes specific brands that we are not allowed to wear. If we wear, those brands we can be send home with out pay for that day. Is this a violation of my rights?
In addition, at my job, there is a specific manager that always complains about what I wear and the way it fits. Mostly because I am curvy. I cannot help the way my body is shaped and I feel self-conscious all the time, to the point where I have to walk around all covered up all the time. She also does the same to another girl in my department that is curvy.

Re: Are my rights being violated at work?
Companies have the right to dicate clothes. If you cannot adhere to the company's dress policy I suggest you look for another job or that you get some loose shapeless clothes so that your curves are not accentuated. You should feel fortunate that they just send you home without pay if you show up at work violating the policy, they could choose to fire you instead.
