Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York
Slander
I work in a large law firm in Buffalo NY. The HR director called me into her office and said that somebody accused me of doing something for which if i did do it I could get fired. I told her that I didn't do it. Is it within my legal rights to obtain the name of that individual who falsely accused me?

Re: Slander
If the H.R. person gave you the name she would rightfully lose her job.
